And I’m off. Nothing like a snowstorm starting as I head to the airport. Will it impede my journey?

Dawn breaks and…I’ve only 84 miles left to the airport.

Snow covered trees in Connecticut. Say, it’s winter in Bangalore, too. Wonder what the snowfall total is there?

Safely arrived at the airport. Ready for some fly-time (a lot of fly-time).

Wings again. This time wings being de-iced.

Much better. Leaving Washington, DC, for Frankfurt. And…we’re…off!

My inflight entertainment included “Return of Singham”, in Hindi (with subtitles, which I was unable to remove).

“Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve begun our descent into Frankfurt”

Frankfurt, Germany, before the sun hits.

I have arrived.

Oracle…Oracle Practice….hmmm, I could come here and do some Oracle-ing!

Having had several soft pretzels and a banana I’m ready for my next flight. Lot’s of colorful planes here in Frankfurt.

the 747 is a huge plane.

Time to go!

This is what numerous personal entertainment centers look like with all the plane lights dim.

Namaste! Vanakkam! Welcome to Bangalore!

India – where there’s always a cricket game on TV.

Even if the teams are from Australia and Pakistan.

Even if the game is four years old.

Now I can sleep!

(Later that Monday) – Hello Bangalore!

Mohan and I venture to A2B for lunch.

mmmmmmm…dosa!

I love the juxtaposition. “Here’s some beautiful art, and please don’t forget your phone”

Phoenix Marketplace – the only mall I will ever go to willingly and with intent.

I have a coffee…

…buy another Titan watch…

….and take in a movie.

Mohan recommended we see “I”, which was a great show.

Of course, it had the mandatory dance scene.

and….this…which was sort of a dance scene.

A2B for dinner? Why the heck not! 🙂

Tuesday morning – Bangalore beckons.

My driver – Kamalesh! Same gentleman as last time.

First time I’ve seen someone purposely carrying a basket on head.

Not the first time I’ve seen a cow roaming along. And…not the last.

Tuesday Night Traffic.

Check out the truck with a whole gang of guys hanging onto the back.

Flowers and Concrete.

Wednesday morning traffic.

Sign in the gentleman’s room. Someone has a good sense of humor 🙂

Ciber office building.

Panoramic view from the outside deck of the Sports Bar.

Thai curry for lunch. I should have stuck with Indian.

Oracle Practice Town Hall Meeting. Mohan….

…Louis, me…

…Jesse…

and the entire team – which took several photos to capture. (thanks to Anoop for the pix!)

Post-Meeting Cake! (no, t’was not vegan.)

Dosa place, where I had something I have no idea what it was called, but it was new and YUMMY!

Last morning in Bangalore.

Office of the Global Oracle Practice.

Back to Phoenix Marketplace for lunch at the Copper Chimney.

Does India really need a Chili’s? Really? This is sad 😦

Street view.

Need one of these for the office!

Traffic is crazy once again.

…wait for it…

…not yet…

…wait…

…alas! a gap! go! go! go!…

…to traffic freedom! (at least for the next block!)

A2B? Yes, of course!

This is not mood lighting. This is a power outage. Brief one, thankfully.

With sadness, bleary eyes, and little traffic, I am heading to the airport.

Y’all need Disney about as much as you need Chili’s.

Time for boarding.

Eka Villain. With subtitles.

This looks cool. On the flight between Bangalore and Frankfurt everything is in Hind, German and English.

Frankfurt in the daylight.

Yes, that is another plane.

Landing in Frankfurt. Time for a soft pretzel in the Lufthansa lounge.

I don’t remember what this movie was, but it was in Hindi, had a dance scene, and was good.

Approaching Newark.

NYC from Seat 24K

Landed on American soil.

The little plane that will take me on my last flight.

…after a slight delay…

…or a couple.

Back from where I started!

And back to our regularly scheduled Winter in Vermont. Cheers!
